About Meraki Early Learning Centre

Meraki Early Learning Centre was established in July 2022 after it moved away from the KingKids group with one of the existing Executive Directors, Sally Orr. It is now a stand-alone, family owned and ran service providing high quality care for children aged 6 weeks to six years of age. The service was purpose built in 2018, is spread over two-stories and can accommodate 104 children each day.

Sally, the owner, has a passion for the early years sector that was first sparked more than 20 years ago as a work experience student. Shortly after VCE she completed her Diploma in Children’s services and then jet set to the other side of the world. Over the next four years she ran a day camp in Michigan, USA, twice and worked across multiple services in Scotland and England.

As a working mum of four school age children, Sally is passionate about creating a place where friends feel like family, educators are dedicated to building trusting and loving relationships with the children and their families and where learning is fun!

After completing her Bachelor of Business in 2014, Sally joined the KingKids team where she has been employed in Finance, as a General Manager, and for the last 3 years, one of the owners of KingKids. Sally led a large team at KingKids for many years across multiple service and head office. Thus, she now has the full compliment of skills to lead the Mooroolbark team to thrive.
